from Side: TROY Dance show by Fire of Anatolia at Gloria Aspendos - Vigo Tours

An extra ordinary ocassion at Aspendos arena!

The Anatolian Fire dance community brings the Troy legend to life. This immortal work in the history of art, we say hello after three thousand years from the homeland. From the Hittite King Tuthalia to Akhileus, from Alexander the Great to the Roman Emperor Caesar, from the Persian King Xerxes to the Byzantine King Konstantinus, from Fatih Sultan Mehmet to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the city illuminated by the light of the world leaders.

The screech of the Troy ruins and a 3000-year-old mystic thought re-invent the life ... From the homeland to the whole of mankind ... The time in Troy, the place in Troy, the love and the limitation in Troy.

A feverish work in the shadow of a lost myth, a history against the ignored history, and a musical revolt.

Historical Ilion or “Wilusa” city, as called by the Hittites, located in Hisarlık region of Canakkale (Dardanelles). It was besieged for ten years by the Greeks during the Trojan War. It is the legendary city that was founded thousands years ago has served as basis for many ancient myths… for one of the oldest and most known stories of the history of humankind, where the dreams and truth, science and utopia mixed into each other…

Brad Pitt was magnificent in the film, but he has nothing on this explosive live music and dance version of Troy. Choreographer Mustafa Erdogan modelled his show on the stories of the famous poet Homer about the Trojan Horse. Homer is the most famous ancient Greek poet and was born in Izmir (now in Turkey), which was called Smyrna at the time. Through thirteen scenes this show takes you on a dazzling tour of history.

With Troy the company Fire of Anatolia makes a stunning impression, bringing no less than 64 dancers to the stage. Every minute bursts with tremendous energy. The beautiful costumes dazzle the eye. The last few years they attracted over twenty million spectators in no less than 85 countries. Visit the show and enjoy seeing a magnificent performance.
