2 Days Cappadocia tour from Istanbul
Early in the morning you will be picked up from your accommodation hotel in Istanbul, and taken to the Istanbul airport to domestic flight for Cappadocia. On arrival in Cappadocia, to freshen up before begin your wonderful day in this amazing area of Turkey, you will be taken to your accommodation hotel in Cappadocia.
Magical Valleys of fairy chimneys - Stunning rock formations!
Your wonderful day in Cappadocia will start with a pick up at 9:30 to head off for the North Cappadocia Tour. This tour is a mixed of the ancient history surrounding this region as well to explore some of the best vantage points of Cappadocia that showcase why Cappadocia is being put on the tourist trail.
Enjoy the amazing views and ensure your phone batteries are charged at Goreme Esentepe and Pasabag. The Esentepe will give you a full panoramic view almost over the whole area as well as Erciyes mountain, whilst Pasabag shows off the 3 headed imposing fairy chimneys that is famous to the Cappadocia region.
Absorb yourself in the unique local history with visiting to the Göreme Open Air museum where you can see where early Christian settlements took up refuge in times of persecution. View the amazing frescos that they left behind in the caves. You will also visit Avanos, a town famous for its unique pottery production that dates back to 3000 BC. And You will also visit the Dervent valley that is well known for its splendid moonlike landscape, and one more amazing view at the Three Beauties, which takes near the town of Urgup.
After getting more taste of what this area has to offer all day you will be dropped off back at your accommodation hotel at the end of the day around 17:00pm.
2nd Day
Optional Tour World's Best Hot Air Balloon Flight
Today you will have the option to start the day with an wonderful Hot Air Balloon ride. Starting before the sunrise, you will have chance to join in this optional activity, just before you begin your 2nd day in Cappadocia.
Cappadocia is known as one of the most famous landscapes in the world. So amazing hot air balloon ride is a better way to really enjoy Cappadocia from sky. Join the many others in watching the sunrise over this splendid landscape. After 1 hour balloon ride You will be transferred back to your accommodation hotel around 07:00am/7:30 am.
Mysterious underground city & Cappadocia's Fascinating valleys
The rest of day will start at 09:30 from the hotel to visit the sights left to see at the Southern part of Cappadocia. 2nd day in Cappadocia is taken place in the rest of this amazing region that you didn’t get to visit the day before. Today you will experience a whole new area of wonderful landscapes as well as you will be absorbed in the historical importance of magical Cappadocia region.
You will see some of the most beautiful valleys of Cappadocia region when visiting the Rose valley which is famous for the colours of the amazing rock formations. Then we will go for a panorama view of pigeon valley. And we will see the pigeon nests that the farmers have made over the years. Farmers use dry faeces of pigeons for fertilization of their soil for delicious vegetable productions.
And you will enjoy the stunning view over Love valley to have a little giggling at the long mushroom shaped rocks that give it its name.
Red valley in all its glory is another beauty to explore to see the many hidden paths that all lead onto the amazing sights of Cappadocia and its surrounding cities and settlements.
You will also visit one of the stunning Underground cities that are famous in Cappadocia. Visiting a underground wonder you will see how the Christians made this their home in times of persecution. You will get fascinate when wander through the levels of these well planned underground city that consist of not only homes, but also schools, animal stables, meeting halls and wine cellars.
You will be happy get to stretch your legs again in the wide open spaces of imposing Meskendir valley. Here you will undertake a small trekking about 4 km at your own pace. Wander down through the unique valley and along the river to enjoy some different scenery that the area has to offer you exceptionally.
You will also have a chance to visit the most ancient settlement in the region when we stop at Cavusin valley, that dates back to 5th Century BC. And another beautiful panorama view at Uchisar Castle – one of the most stand out landmarks in wonderful Cappadocia. Enjoy it!
Back to Istanbul
The day will end around 17:00. There will then be free time in Cappadocia before you are transferred back to the airport for your flight to Istanbul. When you arrive into Istanbul you will then be transferred to your accommodation hotel.
Children on Balloon flights: infants ages 5 and under are not accepted. Age 6 years and older are accepted.
Cappadocia is cool and snowy in winter. Accordingly, it is recommended to take warm clothes with you.
