MTB tour through coastal route from Kas and Kalkan - Vigo Tours
A Great day with a superb coastal cycling road and itinerary by the beautiful costal towns Kaş and Kalkan!
The tour takes place with a minimum of 4 people.
After a 40-minute morning drive to Saribelen village via the Kaş and Kalkan road, we take about to 300 - 600 m high coastal trails which afford splendid views, explore enchanting olive yards, the maquis vegetation typical of the Mediterranean basin, and deep gorges along the seaside slopes of the western part of Taurus Mountains. A mix of uncrowded earth-gravel (watch-out for loose pebbles) and asphalt roads (beware of few cars) take us through small settlements, Turcoman villages and near a number of fantastic ancient ruins of Greek, Roman, and Lycian.
On the trail there are a few ascent, but mostly descent. There are several stops on the route with plenty of snack. We will have lunch at a village house or a local restaurant, followed by some lazy time. The last part of the ride will be downhill on the tarmac towards Kaş harbour, where our trip ends late afternoon.
You will receive basic safety and MTB riding instructions. You will be able to test-drive your bike once it is properly adjusted for you and checked. A helmet, glove, snack and unlimited water are provided for each rider. A thorough briefing of the mtb itinerary will be given to the group with the map, before start-up.
The guides are all well experienced mountain bikers and are First Aid and CPR certified. We pack two-way radios and a mobile phone for emergencies, and the office in Kaş is always alert for the unexpected. A support van and a truck with a bike-trailer do follow the group.
All of the mountain biking guests are equipped with state-of-the-art TREK-4300 model mountain bikes. All the bikes are well equipped with a front suspension and mechanical disc brakes.

the route can be changed and be different with daily situations and conditions without prior notice.
Kaş harbour will be the meeting place for those who will participate in the tour from Kalkan. There is no pick up and drop back service from Kalkan.
