Full description

Hierapolis-Pamukkale is an UNESCO World Heritage site.
The thermal site has 17 different hot spring waters from 35c to 100c

This name is given to Pamukkale because of the white rocks (cottonstones) such as cotton, resulting from the deposition of calcareous hot waters. These white cotton stones, which look like they are frozen during the flow of a cascade, are the world-famous tourist attractions of Pamukkale. In addition, the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis gives another touristic value there.

Pamukkale / Hierapolis rank among one the oldest thermal cities of the world. The city contains hot springs and travertine, terraces of carbonate minerals left by the flowing water. The ancient city of Hierapolis was also built on top of the white castle.

Pamukkale is Turkey's foremost mineral-bath spa because of its natural beauty: 17 different hot calcium-laden waters from 35 c to 100 spring from the earth and cascade over a cliff. As they cool they form dramatic travertines of hard, brilliantly white calcium that form pools.
