Located about 65 km west of Alanya, Manavgat is a typical mediterranean town with a famous river, waterfalls and bazaars.
Aspendos is an ancient settlement about 35 km west of the town of Manavgat. Aspendos is one of the most important civilizations of antiquity. The 2000-year-old Aspendos antique theater is a very important antique building worth seeing with its extraordinary beauty and magnificent acoustical structure. Every summer, Aspendos holds an international classical opera and ballet festival with a great reputation in the world. By visiting the ancient theater of Aspendos you will see and admire this magnificent building.
The most important ruin of Aspendos is the theater, leaning against the slope of the small hill. This extraordinary theater structure is one of the most solid and best preserved theaters from Antiquity to the present. The seating areas (cavea) and the two-storey stage building (skene), which can accommodate 15 thousand spectators, are very robust. This Roman theater is dated to the second half of the 2nd century AD. It is learned from an inscription that it was made by the architect Zenon during the reign of Emperor Marcus Aurelius (197-180 BC).

The ancient village of Side is on the peninsula and is about 5 km from Manavgat on the western side of Manavgat town. The 2000-year-old antique buildings, small streets and ancient harbor and apollo temple are unique and magnificent ancient villages worth seeing. You will be able to visit this small and charming ancient village in 1.5 hours free time as you wish.
Manavgat waterfall
Manavgat Waterfall is approximately 8 km from the town of Manavgat, in the foothills of the Taurus Mountains. It's world famous. In the past some of the Turkish money had pictures of Manavgat Falls. Many Turkish cinemas were shot here. It is also the most postcard images posted by tourists to their friends.
There are cafeterias and a market place around the waterfall. We'll be here for about an hour.
